RENOVATION OF A 44 SQM APARTMENT IN THE HEART OF THE 18TH ARRONDISSEMENT

The agency assisted a couple in their fifties with the complete renovation of their 44 sqm Parisian apartment, with one goal: to create a brighter, more fluid interior tailored to their daily lives.

Originally dark and highly compartmentalized, the apartment was entirely redesigned to open up perspectives, optimize every square meter, and maximize storage, without ever sacrificing the sense of space.

From the entrance, the existing wall makes way for a half-partition topped with a curved glass wall. Custom-designed for the project, it maintains the transition to the living room while allowing light and sightlines to flow. A console with cubbies, shelves, and a full-height wardrobe complete this space with discreet, integrated storage.

The living area is now warm and colorful. Its central feature: a bookshelf with soft lines, designed around an existing duct to house the owners’ book collection. Its curves naturally follow the wall and extend the movement toward the kitchen.

In the latter, the design statement is bolder. On the floor, cement tiles with graphic patterns and shades of green set the tone. Their presence contrasts with the sobriety of the cream-white fronts and the warmth of the oak countertop. A play of materials and colors that punctuates the flow and gives the kitchen a unique identity.

Another challenge of the project: the bathroom, measuring less than 3 sqm. In this compact space, every detail was crafted to combine comfort with a sense of space. An arched mirror conceals adjustable shelves, keeping the vanity area uncluttered. Walnut warms the room, while wavy-lined tiles play with the light. Subtle touches of brass punctuate the overall design.

Finally, the bedroom was designed as a true cocoon. The headboard, dressing room, and bookshelf form a cohesive whole, softened by textured wallpaper and a sage green palette. An enveloping and peaceful atmosphere, where every element naturally finds its place.
