OPTIMIZING WITHOUT CLUTTERING

In this 25m2 studio nestled in a peaceful neighborhood of the 12^th arrondissement, the challenge was threefold: to provide the client with a living space where they could entertain without encroaching on the sleeping area, to conceal their belongings without weighing down the cupboards, and to enjoy a real kitchen as well as a practical shower room. A small apartment layout challenge, met with precision to transform this studio into a comfortable and elegant living space, designed like a large one!

Here, every square meter has been optimized with particular attention paid to functionality, comfort, and flow.

The centerpiece of the project is undoubtedly a custom-made multifunctional platform block, designed as an architectural element. A true backbone, it structures the spaces while maximizing storage capacity.

On the outside, it integrates numerous storage spaces: a full-height wardrobe on the entrance side, drawers hidden in the steps of the stairs, a cupboard, and decorative niches on the living room side. Inside, the platform reveals an enveloping and intimate sleeping area, equipped with functional niches and high-level storage, offering optimal comfort without visual overload.

Entirely custom-made in Egger France oak laminate, the sleeping area is enhanced by a WALLPAPERS 4 BEGINNERS panoramic wallpaper, bringing depth and character. The cupboard doors, finished with an ARTE woven wallcovering, enrich the project with a refined and elegant texture.

As an extension of the living area, the studio now benefits from a real kitchen, designed to be as functional as it is discreet. Installed in an L-shape to facilitate use, it offers plenty of storage in the upper and lower sections, a full-height column housing a large-capacity fridge-freezer, as well as a generous countertop for daily cooking.

On the aesthetic side, the warmth of the oak, the common thread of the interior design, is subtly contrasted by a black countertop extended into a backsplash. This play of materials and contrasts continues into the shower room, which is compact but perfectly optimized, combining practicality and elegance.
