A CUSTOM-DESIGNED APARTMENT IN BOULOGNE

Welcome to Boulogne, where we supported a couple in their thirties in the complete renovation of their 67 m² apartment, located on a high floor of a 1960s building. A project designed as a true art of living, blending functionality, aesthetics, and a spirit of escape.

From the entrance, the tone is set. We imagined a space that is both ingenious and colorful, perfectly adapted to their daily needs. Welcoming and organized, the entrance conceals coats, bags, and shoes without sacrificing elegance. On one side, a full-height wardrobe with a bench and integrated storage; on the other, a multifunctional folding piece of furniture, serving as either a console or a desk depending on the use.

The terracotta, white, and wood palette structures the space and serves as the common thread throughout the project, bringing warmth and coherence to every room.

The tour continues with the living area, entirely open-plan and bathed in light thanks to large bay windows offering an unobstructed view of the outdoors. Its centerpiece: a custom-made library created by MADE TO MEASURE. It blends oak fronts, soft beige, woven rattan, and curved corners for a delicate and airy look, subtly evoking travel. An invitation to relax, extended by a hanging hammock that has become the owners’ favorite retreat.

Facing the library, the modern kitchen designed by SCHMIDT stands out as a true place for sharing. Designed in a U-shape to optimize flow, it combines appliance columns, upper and lower storage, open shelves, and a convivial island extended by a table. Perfect for moments as a couple or for entertaining, it is distinguished by the choice of walnut, which brings character and warmth, elegantly contrasting with the luminous beige of the upper cabinets, the backsplash, and the speckled countertop. And because every detail counts, the MODELEC finish plates for the sockets and switches echo the door handles and faucets.

The hallway then leads to the wet rooms — bathroom and toilet — renovated in a coherent and refined spirit. Stone tiling, custom walnut cabinetry, glossy green kitkat tiles, and brushed stainless steel finishes dress these spaces, designed as true bubbles of well-being.

In the master bedroom, the travel theme continues with an illustrated panoramic wallpaper dressing the headboard wall. An invitation to slow down, to dream, and to escape a little further.

Finally, the last room was designed as a hybrid and evolving space: a functional office by day, a welcoming guest room by night. It integrates a workspace defined by a bright hue, a soothing and bright reading corner punctuated by floating shelves above the sofa bed, as well as an inverted corner dressing room, discreetly integrated into the decor.
