Pauline Project
TRANSFORMATION OF A CARETAKER’S LODGE INTO A MEDICAL CONSULTATION ROOM
Welcome to Pauline, a chiropractic practice located in Pigalle.
The agency had the pleasure of supporting this extension project, born from the purchase of a former caretaker’s lodge and the arrival of a new practitioner. The challenge: to expand the practice while preserving its warm, soft and powdery identity.
Our mission was to transform this lodge into a new consultation room and connect it harmoniously to the existing practice, ensuring smooth circulation and comfort for both patients and practitioners.
The practice entrance is now via an elegant corridor with curved lines, designed as a true waiting room in its own right. This new space provides a gentle transition between the two practices and naturally guides the patients’ journey. A glazed door in frosted glass opens onto the new treatment room: it generously lets in natural light while ensuring the privacy required for consultations.
As the common thread of the project, a palette of delicate greens runs through all the spaces. Paired with white and walnut, it brings softness, depth and calm, reinforcing the serene atmosphere inherent to a place of care.
The new consultation room is organised around two distinct and complementary areas:
· A desk and hand-washing area, with built-in storage and designed for the practitioner,
· A manipulation area, featuring a leather massage table dedicated to treatments, set on a plush rug.
Shelves concealed behind a curtain provide additional storage while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look.
Aesthetically, rounded lines set the rhythm for the entire project, both in the structure of the walls and in the design of the furniture and joinery in the corridor leading to the other practice. These curves soften the volumes, improve flow and naturally support the movements of patients and practitioners.
A project that combines functionality, comfort and aesthetics. Every detail was carefully considered to optimise storage space, improve circulation between the two practices and offer a soothing care experience. A realisation where interior architecture fully serves well-being, revealing the full potential of a space reimagined with precision and delicacy.
