COMPLETE RENOVATION OF A FAMILY HOME IN CHANTILLY.

160 m² entirely redesigned with a clear ambition: to create a warm, inviting, and functional home, perfectly suited to the daily life of a family with two children.

From the entrance, the tone is set. Conceived as a true transitional space, it combines character and functionality. Shades of cream white and luminous green adorn the railing and stair risers, bringing rhythm and personality to the ascent. Custom joinery integrating a wardrobe, bench, and ample storage elegantly structures the space, while inclined wooden slats filter views and light. They gradually reveal a vast, open living area, bathed in natural light, where lingering meals, evenings with friends, the crackling of the wood-burning stove, and garden views form the backdrop of daily life.

The overall design is inspired by the spirit of a contemporary country house. Natural materials, a soft palette, and fluid circulation create a warm and soothing atmosphere. The living room, dining room, and kitchen naturally interact, making the latter the true heart of the home. Light oak fronts, a marble worktop, and a mirrored backsplash subtly complement each other to offer a balance between authenticity and modernity.

The hallway leads to an office, toilets, and a master suite designed as a cocoon open to nature. A panoramic botanical wallpaper invites disconnection, while a custom dressing room integrating a TV niche optimizes space. The private bathroom asserts its character with a graphic mosaic featuring strong contrasts, which adds depth and personality to the ensemble.

Upstairs, the redistribution of spaces allowed for the creation of a generous landing area serving a second office as well as the sleeping areas for children, family, and friends. Two playful and colorful children’s bedrooms were designed to evolve with them, one of which benefits from its own shower room. A guest bedroom completes the ensemble, along with a delicate and bright pink-hued bathroom, equipped with both a shower and a bathtub to meet various daily needs.

Beyond the aesthetic transformation, this renovation also addressed a major challenge: to sustainably improve the home’s comfort and energy performance.

The work thus focused on:

  • exterior thermal insulation;
  • replacement of windows and bay windows;
  • refurbishment and repainting of the facade and shutters;
  • filing a Prior Declaration to oversee all exterior modifications.

This renovation now offers a more comfortable, more efficient, and resolutely future-oriented home. A new architectural identity, contemporary and harmonious, serving a family lifestyle where aesthetics, functionality, and well-being naturally converge.
