ELEGANT SOUNDPROOF GLASS DOORS
Carole and Andi, parents of two young daughters, wanted to isolate the entrance from the living room, both visually and acoustically. The initial problem was the noise from the entrance that echoed considerably in the living room. The comings and goings, and the children going up and down the stairs in the entrance, prevented them from achieving a calm and serene atmosphere when the clients wanted to enjoy a moment of relaxation on their sofa. The glass door, with a good seal when closed, significantly reduces these everyday family noises.
The second point to address was to no longer have a view of the entrance with belongings accumulating throughout the day (coats, shoes, bags, etc.). The choice of using fluted glass was therefore essential: maintaining the light flow into the rooms while obscuring the view of the entrance hallway.
Aesthetically, the final choice was curved lines to bring softness. The choice of wood creates warmth and matches the rest of the ground floor of the house (parquet and terrazzo flooring).
